BERKELEY, California ― January 22, 2018― The founder of Craigslist Craig Newmark and Lila Tretikov, former Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation will appear during the Spring 2018 session, the Berkeley Forum announced today.

Other speakers will include Christopher Darden, co-prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson trial, Lisa Monaco, former US Homeland Security Advisor to President Obama, and Peter Goettler, CEO and President of the CATO Institute. A full list of the speaker lineup can be viewed below.

“I am excited to announce this semester’s diverse lineup. The speakers we are bringing to campus will provoke meaningful discussions within the Berkeley community, and we hope students take advantage of the opportunity to engage with these leaders of their fields,” said Forum president Haley Keglovits. “We are thrilled to host speakers such as Craig Newmark, Christopher Darden, and Vint Cerf, Turing Award winner and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google. This lineup would not be possible without the tireless work of our student staff, who spend their time striving to enhance campus dialogue. I could not be more appreciative of their dedication and continued contributions.”

Additionally, the Forum is working to confirm more speakers and add debates and panels to the spring lineup. For more information and the latest updates, please visit our website.
