Berkeley Forum Announces Fall 2018 Event Lineup

BERKELEY, California ― August 29, 2018 ― California State Controller Betty Yee and founder of 88Rising Sean Miyashiro will appear during the Fall 2018 session, the Berkeley Forum announced today.

Other speakers will include Larry Levitt, Senior VP for Health Reform at Kaiser Family Foundation, Pulitzer-Prize Winning Reporter Martha Mendoza, and Jennifer Cabalquinto, Chief Financial Officer of the Golden State Warriors. A full list of the speaker lineup can be viewed below.

“I’m excited to release this lineup of Forum speakers, and hope that the Berkeley community will find them as exciting, knowledgeable, and engaging as we do. In choosing our speakers, our team is intentional about showcasing diverse viewpoints, and we hope there is an event for everyone in this semester’s schedule.” said Forum president Michael Chien. “We are thrilled to host speakers such as Don Roy King, Betty Yee, Martha Mendoza. As always, this lineup would not be possible without the hard work of our student staff, who have dedicated countless hours to furthering our mission of furthering discourse in our community.”

About the Berkeley Forum
The Berkeley Forum is a non-partisan, student-run organization at the University of California, Berkeley. Established in 2012, the Forum hosts debates, panels, and talks by leading experts from a variety of fields. The Forum exists to provide the Berkeley community with a space for the free expression and debate of a wide range of viewpoints.

We have welcomed over 5,000 attendees to over 100 events. The Forum’s events have been covered by many media outlets, including the New York Times, Politico, CNN, the Associated Press, C-SPAN, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
